The future of finance is also female: A conversation with Rehana Farrell, 100 Women in Finance

At SuperReturn International 2025, we were proud to host a half day summit focusing on Women in Private Markets. Senior leaders from across the globe gathered to discuss how they are currently navigating the market, how they approach investing in volatile times and some of the biggest challenges the industry still needs to address to achieving gender parity. As part of our SuperReturn interview series, we spoke to Rehana Farrell, CEO, 100 Women in Finance. Here's some of her key take aways:
Women crave a community...
... where they can learn from each other and pull each other into opportunities, which is excactly what 100 Women in Finance have attempted to foster in the past 25 years.
A significant challenge in the industry has been, and still is, rentention of female talent...
... and what's needed is a shift in the narrative regarding isses like parental leave. These are not just women's issues, but worker's issues.
Diversity is not just good for equality...
... It is good for the bottom line. Companies with strong diversity measures in place emphasize a profound impact on achiveing optimal performance, noting better returns with diverse teams. In fact, more LPs are asking GPs for stats on female representation.
